Welcome to Barnes Cars London. By booking or using our private hire and minicab services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.
1. Company Information
Barnes Cars London is a private hire operator based in Barnes, South West London, providing minicab, executive, and airport transfer services across London and surrounding areas.
We are licensed by Transport for London (TfL) to operate private hire services.
2. Bookings
- All bookings must be made through our website, mobile app, or by phone.
- When you book a journey, you confirm that all information provided (pickup, destination, date, and time) is accurate.
- Once a booking is accepted, you will receive a confirmation message via email, SMS, or app notification.
- Barnes Cars London reserves the right to refuse or cancel any booking at our discretion.
3. Pricing and Payment
- Prices are calculated based on distance, time, and vehicle type.
- Fares are fixed at the time of booking, unless there are changes to the journey details (e.g., route changes, waiting time, additional stops).
- Payments can be made by cash, debit/credit card, or online payment.
- All prices include VAT (if applicable).
- Additional charges may apply for:
- Airport parking fees
- Waiting time beyond the free period
- Detours or additional stops requested by the passenger
4. Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellations must be made at least 1 hour before the scheduled pickup time.
- If cancelled less than 1 hour before pickup, a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the fare may apply.
- No refund will be issued if the driver has already arrived at the pickup location.
- For prepaid bookings, refunds will be processed within 5–7 working days.
5. Airport Transfers
- For airport pickups, passengers must provide accurate flight details to allow for proper tracking.
- Drivers will wait up to 45 minutes after the flight lands (for free). After that, waiting charges may apply.
- Barnes Cars London is not responsible for missed flights caused by circumstances beyond our control (e.g., traffic delays, weather, or passenger lateness).
6. Passenger Responsibilities
- Passengers must ensure that they arrive on time for their pickup.
- Seat belts must be worn at all times.
- Smoking, eating, or consuming alcohol inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited.
- The passenger is responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle by themselves or their party.
- Children must use appropriate car seats, provided by the passenger or requested in advance.
7. Driver Conduct
- All Barnes Cars London drivers are licensed and DBS-checked.
- Drivers are expected to act professionally, courteously, and safely at all times.
- If you have any concerns about driver conduct, please report it immediately to our customer service team.
8. Delays and Liability
- While we strive to provide timely service, Barnes Cars London is not liable for delays due to traffic, weather conditions, road closures, or events beyond our control.
- We are not responsible for any indirect losses such as missed flights, meetings, or connections caused by such delays.
- Our maximum liability is limited to the fare paid for the journey.
9. Lost Property
- Any items left in the vehicle will be returned to our office and stored for up to 30 days.
- Customers are responsible for collecting lost items or paying postage if items are to be shipped.
10. Complaints and Feedback
We aim for 100% customer satisfaction.
